Advisor of UNESCO, specialist in the restoration and protection of manuscripts Stavros Andreou (Cyprus, Limosol) visited to ANAS Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli. He acquainted with conditions of storage and recovery process of manuscripts, as well as the experience of the laboratory staff to restore.

Noted that, the structure has represented by him has communications with Centre, libraries and laboratories around the world, collaborating with them in the field of protection and restoration of manuscripts, makes recommendations, assists in the acquisition of necessary equipment and preparations. Stavros Andreou highly assessed the work carried out for the protection and restoration of manuscripts.

Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of Manuscripts, PhD Pasha Karimov informed the guest about the plans and the work carried out in this research institution in the field of protection and restoration of manuscripts. For advice and suggestions on cooperation he expressed his gratitude to the representative of UNESCO, on behalf of management and staff.
