Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A meeting was organized at the Institute of Physics of the Ministry of Science and Education with representatives from the Hong Kong Core Academy of the People's Republic of China.

The purpose was to exchange views on the development of scientific relations between the two countries.

Professor Li Lei, member of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong Core Academy of the People’s Republic of China, Executive (Vice) Secretariat-General, Professor Raymond J. Wu and the Academy’s scientific staff members Feng Liu and Yan Zheng participated at the meeting.

The sides exchanged information about the activities of the institutions, they represent, international relations, ongoing research and the latest results achieved. The director general of the Institute, Academician Arif Hashimov spoke about the fundamental works carried out at the scientific institution, as well as the research conducted in the laboratories. He stated that the Institute of Physics cooperates with several leading scientific institutions worldwide and the scientific results obtained are published in high-impact journals.

During the meeting, a video connection was established with Ulkar Samedova, an employee of the Institute of Physics and currently a PhD student specializing in physics at the School of Physics of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. She spoke about the research she is conducting there.

At the end of the meeting, the Chinese guests visited the laboratories, and the scientists of the Institute informed them about the installed equipment, the ongoing research and the scientific achievements.
