Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

As known, delegation of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was in Beijing at initiative of Chinese Academy of Social  Sciences and has been got a vital agreement between two parties. Visit aimed to develop scientific ties, implement joint projects between Azerbaijan and People Republic of China.

As a result of visit, was created Working group on Azerbaijani-Chinese affairs and Acting Academician-secretary of the Department of Social Sciences, corresponding member of ANAS Nargiz Akhundova was defined a chairman to it.

Chairman of Working group Nargiz Akhundova and director of the Institute of Science History Maryam Seyidbeyli visited Chinese Culture Center operated to the Department of World Literature and comparativistics of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi.

Coordinator of Chinese Culture Center Nargiz Karimova informed the guests on activity directions and prospects of the center.

Corresponding member of ANAS Nargiz Akhundova stated that, a unanimous decision was made on all directions of “Great Silk Way: history and modernity. Multifaceted approaches” problem in the meeting held in China. Scientists of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences expressed their willingness to publish Azerbaijani scientists’ papers on scientific journal and bulks in China. Meanwhile, discussion were carried out to launch “Caucasus study” Center in China as well, she noted,

Remind that, on the initiative of Vice-President of ANAS, director of the institute, Acad. Isa Habibbayli, Institute of Literature of ANAS and Chinese Institute of Confucius signed agreement due to develop joint scientific-literary ties in February 2015 and Chinese Culture Center was launched in the institute. Chinese language is taught in the center.
