Museum of Heydar Aliyev hosted the presentation "History of Nakhchivan" multivolume on January 26 in Nakhchivan.

Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov congratulated the representatives of the intelligentsia and the scientific community of Nakhchivan on the occasion of the presentation of "History of Nakhchivan" multivolume which is an important event in the scientific life of the autonomous republic.

Noted that, in both periods of the country's leadership national leader Heydar Aliyev paid special attention to the study of the history of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Chairman of the Supreme Majlis emphasized that, the measures which were carried out in the 70th of the last century by the outstanding personality in the direction of protection of national values and restoration of historical memory of the people laid the foundation of new approach to national history.

Still during this period are being carried out the scientific researches connected with Nakhchivan's history, new groups of archaeological researches sending to the autonomous republic opened ample opportunities for studying of our history. Since the independence of our country by the national leader were assigned new tasks on fundamental study and promotion of the ancient history of our people, again started the study of history of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan as well.

Reported that, in accordance with the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated August 6, 2012 has been started the preparation of the multivolume "History of Nakhchivan", which consists of three volumes. During the past three years working on the multivolume has contributed to systematic and fundamental research of Nakhchivan’s history since ancient times up to modern period, and published the multivolume "History of Nakhchivan", shedding light on our history and culture. Chairman of the Milli Majlis emphasized that, the one of the main tasks is to bring to attention world community of historical realities and suppression of attempts to falsify our history.

In this case, it should be more active not only scientists and researchers, but also representatives of the intelligentsia and the public. He told that, today the presentation of the multivolume "History of Nakhchivan" can be considered as a report work conducted in connection with the history of Nakhchivan.

Then Chairman of the ANAS Nakhchivan Department, Academician Ismayil Hajiyev informed that, on preparation of multi-volume were made the references to numerous authoritative sources, documents and materials for more than 10 archives of foreign countries, books and monographs, websites, materials of the periodical press.

Speaking at the event Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that, in general, the multivolume edition "History of Nakhchivan is a significant event in the Azerbaijani science. Reflecting the main directions of Azerbaijanism ideology the multivolume is important as the first generic scientific work about the history of Nakhchivan.

In the multivolume "History of Nakhchivan" on the basis of the principle of comprehensive look of history, development of science, culture, literature and art, as well as Press in Nakhchivan were investigated as an inseparable part of our history. In the event also acted Director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archaeology of Nakhchivan Department, corresponding member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli, Head of Chair of History of Nakhchivan State University, corresponding member of ANAS Zahmat Shahverdiyev, who regarded the edition of the multivolume "History of Nakhchivan" as a valuable contribution to science and social - humanitarian thought of Azerbaijan.

Then Chairman of the Supreme Majlis and the participants of the event got familiar the exhibition of new books devoted to the history of Nakhchivan.
