Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

First Vice-President of the Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR), Academician Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh was deserved to “International silver medal Academician Azad Mirzejanzadeh” by Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

Presentation ceremony of the medal was took place on March 3.

According to the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, Russian Academy of Natural Sciences has designed one of the highest awards named after outstanding Azerbaijani scientist, State Laureate, Honored Worker of Science and Technology, Honorary oilman Azad Mirzejanzadeh. The medal is the first international award named after Azerbaijani scientist in the world. It is remarkable that the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences for the first time granted “International silver medal Academician Azad Mirzejanzadeh” to Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh, the patriarch of the oil industry and oil science. Congratulating the academician on this occasion I.Guliyev presented the medal to him. 

In the ceremony, SOCAR Vice-Presidents Rahman Gurbanov and Khalik Mammadov congratulated Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh in regard of highest award, wished him success in his future activities of the new research.

Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences Azizkhan Shahverdiyev congratulated K. Yusifzadeh by phone during the ceremony.

In closing, K. Yusifzadeh thanked to Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, ceremony attendees and expressed his proud to be awarded a medal named after Acad. Azad Mirzejanzadeh for the first time.

Note that, Academician Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh was elected a foreign member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences in December 2014. Scientist is also academician of Turkic World Studies International Academy of Sciences, active foreign member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and academician of the Russian International Academy of Engineering.
