State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent announces 3rd Republican competition in the field of inventive achievements due to identify and suggest promising patents.

The competition has been included in Action Plan of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent in accordance with paragraph 4.11 of “State Program on development of the industry in 2015-2020" approved by AR President’s Order dated December 26, 2014.

Competition is carried out among invention patents registered in 2014-2015, in order to determine the winner of "Patent of the Year" nomination. The competition can be submitted patents registered in the Eurasian Patent Office which owned by legal entities and individuals of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014-2015.

Depending on the results of the competition first, second and third place winners will be presented diplomas, souvenirs and cash prizes by the competition commission.

Individuals and legal entities wishing to participate in the competition should submit the following documents:

1. The application-presentation, reflecting a list of submitted documents. The application is signed by the patent owner or by its authorized representative based on a power of attorney;

2. Original of the patent together with the copy;

3. All materials of inventions belonging to patent (invention description, formula, essay, technological systems, lines etc.);

4. By indicating the possible use of space, basic data on the yield of invention;

5. The power of attorney, confirming the given authority, granted by the patent owner (if necessary);

6. Other documents considered necessary by the patent owner.

Those who wish to participate in the competition should submit documents until April 9, 2016 at 14:30-17:30, to the Information Security Department of the Center for Examination of Industrial Property (AzPatent) under State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent.
