Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

International Mugham Center hosted a presentation of the three-volume "The aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan" (by Elchin Ahmadov) and the monograph "The claims of the Armenians in the period of Sovietization of Armenia before occupation of Azerbaijani territories : history as it is (1920-1994 )" (author is Musa Gasimli) book published in the framework of grant projects, became winners of joint competition 2nd "Grant of Shusha" Science Development Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Commission of Azerbaijan for UNESCO on March 31.

At the ceremony organized by the Academy of Public Administration and Public Association "Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan Republic" was attended by officials of state and government, MPs, representatives of the academic and educational institutions, as well as the public.

At the beginning of the event has sounded the national anthem of Azerbaijan followed by a minute of silence, was honored the memory of victims of the 31 March genocide.

Acted at the event President Assistant of the Republic of Azerbaijan for socio-political affairs, Professor Ali Hasanov highly appreciated the importance of both publications from the point of view of studying the history of Azerbaijan, in particular the genocide committed by Armenians against our people for more than 200 years, noted the importance of translating of books in foreign languages and their widespread in the world.

Stating that, Armenians are trying to introduce the world community by falsified and distorted facts, to form a misconception, "The writing, translation of such books, spread them in the world by various means, conducting to the broad public debate is important from the standpoint of exposing of this insidious propaganda", said Presidential Administration official representative.

Speaking at the event, Executive Director of Science Development Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elchin Babayev noted that, in both editions are new facts revealed as a result of deep research, carried out in a number of countries, reference is made to the authoritative scientific sources and it increases their value.

Noting that, due to March 31 - Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis in our country hosts numerous events, Rector of Baku State University Abel Maharramov stressed the importance of the presentation of two books on that day.

Rector said that both works as a valuable resource will be widely used in higher education.

He expressed deep gratitude to the Science Development Foundation for the allocation of grants for training research in this important field, as well as the leadership of the department of social and political affairs of Presidential Administration for high-level coordination of such initiatives.

The author of the monograph "The claims of the Armenians in the period of Sovietization of Armenia before occupation of Azerbaijani territories: history as it is (1920-1994)" deputy of Milli Majlis, Professor Musa Gasimli stressed that, the work sheds light on a number of issues which remained in the background and noted that, a few days ago the book was published in Russian, in Moscow.

M. Gasimli expressed gratitude all those who provided direct support to the preparation of the book, in particular President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and care about the development of Azerbaijani science.

The author of the three-volume "The aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan" Doctor of Political Sciences, Elchin Ahmadov thanked editor of the monograph, Professor Ali Hasanov for direct support and for scientific advice in the preparation of both works, as well as Executive Director of Science Development Foundation Elchin Babayev and others.

He said that, in the three volumes reflected the policy of military aggression, ethnic cleansing and genocide pursued by Armenia against Azerbaijan in the last 30 years, from 1985 to the present.

E. Ahmedov noted the importance of the activity of every Azerbaijani in bringing to the world the truth about our country.
