Roida Rzayeva, Head of a Department at the Ziya Bunyadov Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy and Professor, has successfully completed a special program titled “Leadership and Communication” organized by Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and has received a Harvard University certificate.
The special “Leadership and Communication” program teaches strategies for becoming a leader and effective communication styles.
The program consists of two main sections. The section titled “Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles” covers knowledge and competencies aimed at addressing questions such as how to develop decision-making processes and personal strategies in a changing world. The section titled “Rhetoric: The Art of Persuasive Writing and Public Speaking” focuses on communication techniques and strategies for expressing ideas effectively. To examine and analyze rhetorical structure and style, selected speeches by prominent twentieth-century political leaders - Martin Luther King, John Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, and others - are used. The program also analyzes persuasive speech on social media and the impact of artificial intelligence on rhetorical practice.
