One of the main objectives facing in ANAS is paying of special attention to production and processing of agriculture.

One of the important issues, which have found the reflection in the Concept of development "Azerbaijan 2020: vision to future", is ensuring development of not oil sector and food security.

For this purpose agrarian sector of the Park of Science and Technology Administrative Department of ANAS carries out regional economic model projects.

In order reliably provide the population with agricultural products were held consultation with the scientific institutions of ANAS.

On the land plots of strong points of the Academy measures for wheat sowing, grapes, pomegranates, cotton, soybeans and other crops was carried out by the agrarian sector of the Park of Science and Technology.

Last week, group of scientists and specialists of the Presidium Administration of relevant institutions and departments of Agricultural and Biological-Medical Sciences of ANAS visited the strongholds of the Academy, which is located in the Aran region.

They examined the research and organizational works, which are carried out in strongholds of the Institute of Botany in Kurdamir, Institute of Zoology in Agsu, Institute of Soil Sciences and Agrochemistry in Ujar and Institute of Genetic Resources in Agdash regions, have examined test territories and economic sowing sites.

During meetings with agronomists of strongholds were held an exchange of views, connection with the study of technologies of cultivation and irrigation rules, as well as cultivated varieties adapt to local conditions and their widespread use.

They were given the necessary recommendations on the management of cultivation of the land.

It was recognized expediently the expansion in these areas of research in the field of cultivation of saplings and seedlings, gardening, including the cultivation of competitive products.

Also, employees of ANAS got acquainted with the material-technical equipment office buildings of strongholds and storage conditions of modern technology and equipment that will be used in the farms.
