Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

7th International conference and exhibition of European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) is held in St. Petersburg, Russia on April 7.

Our country is represented by Azerbaijani representative of STCU, PhD in Earth Sciences Assoc. Prof. Gulam Babayev and associate of ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics department of Geodynamics and seismology Elvin Babayev.

The event to be run until April 16 will discuss topics on geological study of the Earth, the shale revolution, sharp descent in oil prices, the geopolitical situation in the world, the expansion of cooperation among countries in the oil and gas industry etc.

Lectures on different directions of Earth sciences - regional studies, data collection and analysis, modern technology of field exploration and development, seismic and geodynamic features of the project management in oil exploration, risk analysis, environmental protection and economy will be listened at the conference, a broad exchange of views to be carried out.

Note that, young fellow of the aforementioned institute E. Babayev’s participation at the international conference has been funded by Youth Foundation under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Foundation always contributes for development of youth’s knowledge and skills, underpins their ideas.
