Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

An educational excursion was organized at the Institute of Chemistry of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) for students of the Physics-Mathematics Lyceum operating under the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

As part of the event, students toured several laboratories of the institute, and a number of engaging and entertaining experiments were demonstrated for them at the “Physical-Chemical Analysis” center. In addition, students were provided with detailed information about the history of the institute, prominent Azerbaijani chemists who have worked there, and their life and scientific contributions. Teachers and students emphasized that the event left a strong impression on them and that it was very enjoyable to see the knowledge they had learned theoretically being applied and observed in practice.

It should be noted that holding such educational events is of particular importance both for the promotion of science and for increasing students’ interest in scientific research, as well as for revealing and developing their creative potential.
