Presentation of "History of Azerbaijani literary criticism (1800-1920 years)" and "Selected Works" books by prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature, honored scientist, Academician Kamal Talibzadeh at the Electronic assembly hall of the Institute of Literature after Nizami of ANAS on May 25.

The event was attended by prominent figures of science and culture, employers of the Institute of Literature, Ministry of AR Culture and Tourism, Scientific and Methodological Centre for Cultural Studies and Abdulla Shaig’s Memorial flat.

First, Vice President of ANAS, director of the Institute, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke in detail about life and creative work of Kamal Talibzadeh and important merits of a prominent scientist in the history of Azerbaijan literary study.

He noted that, as one of the prominent representatives of the Azerbaijani literary of the XX century Academician Kamal Talibzadeh devoted a whole life to the study of the Azerbaijani literary criticism, history and theory.

It was noted that, Academician Kamal Talibzadeh created a scientific portrait of the Azerbaijan literature and literature of the XX century.

His valuable scientific works shed light to a modern way of development of the Azerbaijan literary study of the independence period.

Spoke about the importance of submitted editions, ANAS Vice-President noted that, in books were reflected the literary-critical views of Academician K.Talibzadeh, the historical roots of Azerbaijani literary criticism, realistic and romantic criticism, research in the stages of development of the Azerbaijani verse drama.

In these works is specified ideological and esthetic originality of various literary and critical currents against the general literary process of the period and the present.

Then, employer of the Institute of literature, Doctor of Philology Vagif Yusifli spoke on "A prominent literary critic Kamal Talibzadeh".

Speaking at the event, other person noted that, a prominent representative of the Azerbaijani literary critics of the XX century Kamal Talibzadeh, attached a particular importance to the respect of tradition and modernity, but also played an important role in the formation of the Azerbaijani literary criticism as a courageous and objective critic.
