Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

November 14-15, 2016 the Republican conference "Genomics: problems and prospects" will take place at the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS.

The conference will discuss the study and protection of genetic resources, based on the most advanced technologies, important results and perspectives of theoretical and practical research in the field of their effective use in breeding and other plants, conducted in the country in recent years.

Event is intended to provide a demonstration of papers and posters at the plenary and selection sessions.

Abstracts and full papers should be submitted to the Organizing Committee before October 15, 2016.

Abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings.

Plenary lectures will be elected by the Organizing Committee. The full text of the plenary lectures will be published in the Scientific Works of the Institute of Genetic Resources.

The conference will be organized in the following sections:

- Biotechnology and genomics

- Molecular genetic study of cultivated plants and their wild ancestors

- Modern methods of breeding, molecular, genomic and chromosomal selection

- Information technology in the study of genetic resources and bioinformatics

- Modern strategies for the protection of genetic resources, tissue culture, in-vitro, in-vivo

- Molecular genetic studies of farm animals
