Vice-president of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev received the head of the Department of Scientific Research and Intellectual Property "Thomson Reuters" Agency Oleg Utkin, director of Business Development in the Public Sector Sergei Hrestolyubov and Agency representative in Azerbaijan Aygun Babazadeh. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the prospects of cooperation between ANAS and "Thomson Reuters".

Academician Ibrahim Guliyev said that Azerbaijan pays special attention to the integration of scientific publications in the international framework, and in this area with some success. Recalling the inclusion of the journal "Proceedings of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics", which prints in the field of mathematics by Department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences, in the list of "Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)" company "Thomson Reuters", the vice-president said that cooperation with the Agency will be significant in terms of the recognition of domestic science at the international level. This cooperation will have a positive impact on the dynamic development of science in the country, accelerated integration into the world of science, as well as improving the efficiency and level of quality.

Expressing gratitude for warm reception, Head of Intellectual Property Department, Oleg Utkin informed about the activities of the Agency. He informed that the structure represented by him creates opportunities for researchers to use the world database of authoritative scientific journals. The guest noted that he is familiar with the statistics of Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, articles published in foreign journals with impact factor, stressed that the number of references to the scientific works of the scientist is very high.

Finally, an agreement was reached on the steps of cooperation between ANAS and Thomson Reuters.

The meeting was also attended by Head of the International Relations Department of the Presidium of ANAS, PhD in biology Esmira Alirzayeva.
