“Economic and geographical problems of migration in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and its impact to the demographic processes” monograph by a researcher at ANAS Institute of Geography named after Academician H.Aliyev, department of Demography and Population Geography, PhD in Geography Hijran Tahirova was published.

The book, releasing by financial support of Science Development Foundation under AR President, consists of 4 chapters; the importance of study a population migration and its theoretical and methodological foundations, demographic potential and its main development trends in the NAR, territory differences of modern migration processes in the NAR and key directions of migration policy in the NAR.

The author has investigated development features of demographic processes in the NAR and economic-geographical aspects affecting this process, defined the internal and external migration processes and its directions and causes, developed relevant proposals and recommendations due to eliminate problems arisen in this field and regulate.

The book is designed for a wide range of readers, students and scientific workers in accordance with research in the field.
