Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Today, Institute of Economy of ANAS held a meeting with a Professor at Norwegian Carnegie Mellon University, Nobel Prize Winner Finn Erling Kydland and Professor at the Australian National University, Nobel Winner Edward Prescott.

Meeting was attended by Academician-Secretary of ANAS Department of Social Sciences, corresponding member of ANAS Nargiz Akhundova and institute’s employees.

Director of the institute Professor Nazim Imanov stated that, these scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for their contributions to dynamic macroeconomics, the time consistency of economic policy and the driving forces behind business cycles.

Challenges on science development, scientific and educational ventures, which guests represent to collaborate with Azerbaijan, were issued at the meeting.

World renowned scientists expressed their satisfaction with visiting our country and notified that Azerbaijan occupies a worthy place among the most dynamically developing countries of the world.

In closing, Nobel Winners responded associates’ numerous questions.
