Administative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Presidential Library presented "History of the Republic of Azerbaijan" two-volume book on October 13.

The event, which was held by organizational support of ANAS Institute of History, the Presidential Library and "Azerbaijani historians" Public Association discussed about the significance of the book.

Director of the Presidential Library Mail Ahmadov gave brief information about presented work. He noted that, the publication of fundamental scientific research - the two-volume "History of the Republic of Azerbaijan" is a significant event in the scientific life of the independent Azerbaijan.

This weighty work is a precious gift to the 25th anniversary of restoration of state independence of the Azerbaijan Republic. The book reflects 25th history of our state.

The next speaker, Deputy Head of the Department of social and political issues of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Republic Arastun Mehdiyev noted that, this presentation is of great importance, because in these days by the corresponding decree of President Ilham Aliyev in all corners of our country is widely celebrated twenty-five anniversary of the restoration of state independence.

Other speakers emphasized that, the scientific consultant of work issued by the Academic Council of the Institute of History is the President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh, a science editor is correspondent member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov.

The work, created by the efforts of a large research team, is the first initiative in the way of study at an academic level, history of independence of Azerbaijan.

The 1st volume of works covers the 1991-2003, the period of Heydar Aliyev's leadership and the 2nd volume - 2003-2016 achieved historic successes and ongoing country wide work of building and landscaping by President Ilham Aliyev.The first volume 1991 is estimated as the year of restoration of the statehood of Azerbaijan, in general, the revival of the ancient traditions of statehood of our people. This issue is discussed in a separate chapter. Volume allotted a wide berth revival movement, which was led by Heydar Aliyev for the salvation of the Azerbaijani statehood, which is faced with the threat of loss.

In the second volume we are talking about the performance of a broad reform program, the implementation in our country in 2003-2016 a lot of work on construction and improvement, successes in foreign policy, separate chapters are devoted to the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. It was noted that, the two-volume materials "History of the Republic of Azerbaijan" were written by well-known scientists-historians. In both volumes, the author of chapters on the foreign policy of Azerbaijan is a prominent expert in this field Professor Ali Hasanov.
