X international conference on “Application of Information Communication Technologies” (AICT 2016), which held in Baku was ended on October 14.

At the closing ceremony of the conference, Academician-Secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Alguliyev highly appreciated the holding of the conference in Azerbaijan. He noted that Institute of Information Technology is an entity, carrying out innovative scientific studies on modern problems of information-communication technologies. Actual scientific-theoretic problems of ICT society are investigated in the institute.

Informing about material-technical and innovative condition created at the aforementioned institute he brought to mind the establishment of Data Center, Training-Innovation, National Supercomputer and other scientific centers here.

Then, a Professor of the Mehran University of Pakistan Bhavani Chovdhri made presentation on an online education, Russian expert Victor Dashonok on cloud computing.

Remind that, conference co-organized by Ministry of Education, Ministry of Communications and High Information Technologies, Qafqaz University, Baku State University, Baku Higher Oil School, Baku Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Malaysia Sabah University, Institute of Information Technology and Control Systems of ANAS, UNESCO’s Institute for Information Technologies in Education and Economic Cooperation Science Foundation, as well as supported by the U.S. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and its Department of Maintenance in Azerbaijan, "Nar” and "DELL EMC" companies.
