On October 20, Institute of Control Systems of ANAS held a jubilee meeting devoted to 80th anniversary of Tamilla Nasirova, the first female mathematician Professor and Dr. Mathematics in Azerbaijan.
Opening the event, Director of the Institute, Academician Telman Aliyev spoke about the life and rich scientific work of a scientist.
He noted that, Tamilla Nasirova’s past fruitful creative way is a graduate a scientific school developed in Russia and Ukraine, "Kolmogorov, Gnedenko-Skorokhod". The results achieved in one of the fundamental areas of mathematics - the theory of probability, led her down the path of science.
Then, T. Aliyev awarded the scientist the Diploma of Department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences for her invaluable contribution to science.
Delivered a report about the scientific work of Professor Tamilla Nasirova, head of the Laboratory of the Institute, Professor Kamil Aydazadeh brought to the attention that the way of life of the scientist is an example for young mathematicians. He noted that, in 1953 T.Nasirova graduated with gold medal from high school № 176 in Baku and entered the Physics and Mathematics of the Azerbaijan State University (present BSU). After graduating, she was recruited to ANAS Institute of Cybernetics of. In the same year was admitted to the graduate school, and then he was sent to the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences and Moscow State University. It was noted that, in 1964 at Tashkent State University T.Nasirova defended he thesis, and in 1994 at the Mathematics Instituteof Ukraine Academy of Sciences - a doctoral thesis. In 1995 she was elected as Professor of the Department of Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics of BSU. Publeshed in 1984 by the publishing house "Elm" monograph on "The processes of semimarkov wandering" (in Russian) was a radical change in the work of the scientist.
K. Aydazadeh has emphasized that, T. Nasirova has proved the ergodic theorem for processes of Semi-Markov possessing very wide scope of application. She has offered the method for identification of distribution of processes and boundary functions in application of processes of Semi-Markova. The scientist has established connection between three various types of processes Semi-Markov. She has also created a method for application of processes of Semi-Markova in the form of distribution of the Erlang.
It was noted that, T.Nasirova is the author of 64 scientific articles, 3 monographs and 4 books. 7 PhDs in mathematics are pupils of her scientific and pedagogical schools.
Next, were demonstrated photographs reflecting the life and work of the scientist.
Speaking at the event, corresponding members Bilal Bilalov, Aghasi Malikov, head of Laboratory of the Institute of Information Technology Sayar Abdullayev, PhD in Mathematics Konul Omarova and others congratulated the scientist due to 80th anniversary and talked about her positive qualities and noble human virtues.
In conclusion T.Nasirova expressed gratitude to the staff of the Institute for the congratulations and warm wishes.
