Today, the Presidium of ANAS held a regular meeting of the Division of Social Sciences (DSS).

Opening the meeting, which was attended by members of the Division, acting Academician Secretary, corresponding member of ANAS Nargiz Akhundova briefed on the issues of agenda.

Then Deputy Director of Science of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, PhD in History Najaf Museyibli presented a paper on "The History of the archaeological research of early statehood of Azerbaijan." The report provides detailed information on archaeological finds, discovered as a result of research carried out in our country, and noted the important role of these findings in the study of the history of the ancient traditions of statehood of Azerbaijan.

Extensive exchange of views on the report was held.

The meeting also discussed issues regarding the definition of candidates for the competition "Presidential Prize for Youth", as well as the name of the topics submitted by research institutions of the division for scientific and methodological workshop, and others.

Finally, they discussed a number of personnel issues.
