Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Prominent scientist, who owns the important achievements in the field of technical sciences in Azerbaijan, President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Art and corresponding member of ANAS Nizami Suleymanov passed away on December 2 at age of 71.

N.Suleymanov was born on November 25, 1945 in the village Ranjbar of Ali Bayramli region. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute. The scientist was able for the first time completely replace the standard tungsten steel tungstenfree new tool steel. He developed a new heat treatment technology, which allows receiving as part of the standard and new types of steel structure, which has high dispersion.

N.Suleymanov defended his PhD thesis on the theme "Research and development of new methods for strengthening and heat-resistant structural steels" and a doctoral thesis - "Development and implementation of new machinery in economically-alloyed free-folframovyh tool steels and effective ways of strengthening them to ensure high resistance tools". "Engineering", was elected a corresponding member of ANAS in the specialty in 1989.

The scientist is the author of over 300 scientific and journalistic publications, including 61 patents. 252 of his scientific works published abroad.

Under the leadership of N.Suleymanova it was prepared 16 doctors of philosophy and 6 doctors.

Farewell ceremony with the scientist will be held today at 14:00 in Heydar mosque.

The memory of a glorious past career Nizami Suleymanov will always live in the hearts of those who knew him.
