Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A new issue of Journal "Proceedings of the Institute of Linguistics", which plays an important role in the promotion of linguistic science was published. In this issue we reflected Forums "Theoretical Linguistics", "The history of language and dialectology", "Azerbaijani Language and Terminology" and "Turkic languages".

Chief Editor is Director of the Institute of Linguistics, corresponding member of ANAS Mohsun Nagisoylu and the person responsible for the release is Researcher of the Institute Vafa Ibadova.

In the article "A Look at the Azerbaijani lexicography of the Middle Ages" by M.Nagisoylu which was posted in the "History of language and dialectology" journal describes the first samples of the Azerbaijani lexicography.

The journal also published articles "First Turkicology Congress - a significant event, which opens wide horizons for the development of common national and spiritual values of scientific and cultural unity of Turkic peoples" by docent Shukurlu Tarana and "Mamed Jafarzadeh - a tireless researcher of the Azerbaijani language syntax". The articles reflected the research in the field of Turkic languages.

Journal also includes articles "Tofig Hajiyev is 80" by Ismail Mammadov, "Mohsen Nagisoylu is 70" by Head of the Department of Terminology Sayali Sadigova and "Ismail Mammadov is 70" by Doctor of philology sciences Nariman Saidaliyev.
