The book by scientific secretary of the Division of Social Sciences of ANAS, PhD in Philology Zumrud Mansimova "Zagatala samples of folklore”, was released.

Editor of the book, compiled in an elegant design, and author of the "Preface" is a research fellow of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Matanat Yagubgizi.

The book reflects seasonally ceremonial and everyday customs and traditions, Bayati, laments, legends, epics, riddles, anecdotes, legends, fairy tales and other genres accumulated in 1996-2016 years in Zagatala region, in particular villages Gimir, Chobankol, Bazar, Mukhakh, Suvagil, Gezbarakh, Yukhari Chardakhlar, Tala, Gandah, Faldar, Aliabad, Muganli, Yengiyan, Jar, Mamrikh, Zayam, and Bahmadli.

Among the genres included in the book, jokes occupy a special place.

The book includes poems ashugs and poets, as well as legends such as the "Huseyn Aleybadly Ashug", "Ashug Madat and Bahrinaz", "Ashug Madat and Tale."

The publication, which is considered a new contribution to the creation of Azerbaijani folklore atlas, is intended for teachers and students, professionals and the general readership interested in folklore.
