A book “Folklore and idea of statehood was published ”Within the research project “Genesis of state symbol, label, ceremony and holidays in Turkic peoples from viewpoint of folklore” by the decision of Presidium of ANAS.

The book, publishing by the Institute of Folklore, reflects history, folklore semantics and idea of state ceremonies and holidays of modern Turkic states and nations, including Azerbaijan.

“Key directions of the idea of statehood and folklore” article in the edition by director of the aforementioned institute, corresponding member of ANAS Mukhtar Imanov submits major factors of statehood – nation, Motherland, management and army, in an idealized form in folklore.

In addition, the book includes materials by Dr. Philology Fuzuli Bayat “Turkic statehood tradition and governance rituals”, Dr. Philology Seyfeddin Rzasoy “Ancestor cult and Oghuz statehood tradition", Dr. Philology Afzaladdin Asgar “Tuga (flag) sacrifice ceremony”, PhD in Philology Sarkhan Khaveri “Folklore and statehood in the context of national culture”, PhD in Philology Aghaverdi Khalil “Ceremony folklore and statehood in Turkic nations” etc.

The book is intended for specialists and a wide audience.
