Since November of the last year at the Institute of ANAS Natural Resources Nakhchivan Division has begun to functionthe laboratory of hydrogeology and mineral waters.

The main objective in creation of laboratory consisted in settlement of diagnostics of resource potential of the water sources located on the sites of the region differing from the geographical point of view. Besides, the explanation of an overall picture of suitability of drinking, mineral, irrigating waters of the territory and implementation of the large-scale research works allowing their rational to use are among main objectives of laboratory.

In the current year studying of the chemical composition, degree of a mineralization, rigidity and degree of suitability for irrigation of water sources in the territory of Babek district is provided in laboratories. In accordance with the execution of work by employees of laboratory the water samples taken from a number of sources located on the territory of Babek region.

For referencenote that these include samples taken from a spring Garachug spring Jahra I and II, spring Tumbul I and II, mineral water deposits Sirab # 9 and 12 Sirab reservoir, Bulgan canal, artesian wells Zeynaddin, Kultepe, Mammad Rza- Diza and reservoir Vaykhir.
