Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

February 22, a notable philosopher, well-known and social figure with “Shohrat” order, corresponding member of ANAS Prof. Salahaddin Sadraddin oghlu Khalilov is 65 years old.

Salahaddin Khalilov was born in Sarvan settlement, Borchali province on February 22, 1952. In 1973, graduated from Azerbaijan State University (present BSU) with diploma of honor, was remained in the molecular physics department at the same university by assignment.

In 1976, defended PhD, doctoral in 1990, was elected a corresponding member of ANAS in 2007.

In 2007, he worked as a chief department of Philosophy at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University.

Scientist laid the foundation of private educational system in Azerbaijan in 1991, established the first English-speaking private gymnasium, high school, and Azerbaijan University.

Professor S.Khalilov is One of the founders of the Phenomenology of Life and a doctrine of "alive idea", put forward a special rule for the summation of social cognition, first applied the method of systematical-struc¬tural analysis to Science studies and made a comparison between gnoseological and social models of science, put forward the alternative mathematical mo¬dels of world and a concept of “vector time”.

He is an author of more than 550 academic works, including 39 monograph and 15 patents.

Scientist has great merits in staff training and supervised for 5 PhDs.

S.Khalilov has been elected a member of Russia Ecology Academy in 1997. In 1999, his name was included in “Who is who” international encyclopedia and elected a member of European Higher Education Society in 2000.

Scientist is a member of American Philosophy Association (2000), International Husserl and Phenomenological Research Society (2004), American Political Science Association (2009) and European Philosophy of Science Association (2009). He is editor-in-chief at journal “Philosophy and Social-political sciences”.

S. Khalilov was a MP of 2nd challenge Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2000-2005.

S.Khalilov was elected a member of Muhiyyadin Ibn Arabi Society in 2009. Since 2010, is an expert for humanitarian and social sciences of Science, Engineering and Technology International Academy.

Scientist was deserved to Yusif Mammadaliyev Award in 1992, for his active participation in social life of the Republic of Azerbaijan – “Shohrat” order (2012).
