Institutes and organizations of ANAS held a chain of events devoted to the 25th anniversary of Khojaly genocide on February 24.

Huseyn Javid’s Memorial Flat of ANAS has launched the event with a moment of silence for memory of Khojaly residents. Reporting at the event, museum director, Honored Culture Worker Dr. Philology Gulbeniz Babakhanli stated that, for its incredible cruelty and inhuman punishment methods, Khojaly genocide is an act of violence in human history.

Event which took place at the Institute of Philosophy was opened by director of this scientific venture, Dr. Philology, Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh put to the fore publishing even more analytic, publicist and scientific essays about this tragedy.

Director of the Institute of Botany corresponding member of ANAS Valida Alizadeh spoke of works done for delivering truths about Khojaly genocide and aggressive policy of Armenia against Azerbaijan to the world.

Director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography Dr. History, Professor Maisa Rahimova emphasized that, just at initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev Khoajly genocide was politically-legally estimated, in 1994 by the decision of Milli Majlis 26 February was declared national mourning day.

Institute of Physiology named after A.I.Karayev, Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies  also held events on the occasion of 25th anniversary of Khojaly genocide.
