Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Head of the Laboratory of Stochastic Control and Applied Statistics of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, Academician Akif Hajiyev visited the educational institution by the invitation of the University of Istanbul on March 14.

Azerbaijani scientist delivered a paper on "Application of probability theory in transport issues" at the faculty of mathematics of the University. The report provided detailed information on the application of the theory of probability, discussed the explanation of unexpected (paradoxical) events occurring in transport, from the point of view of probability theory.

The event was attended by faculty, doctoral students and undergraduates of the university.
