Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Institute of Economy on the basis of the Order of ANAS Presidium dated February 22, 2017, "On the Approval of the Strategic Roadmap for the National Economy and the Main Sectors of the Economy", arising from the Decree of AR President dated December 6, 2016 were held discussions and were taken important decisions in connection with the tasks entrusted in this direction to a number of scientific institutions.

According to the decision, in the current and subsequent years the scientific and organizational activities of the Institute will be aimed at the tasks set by the "Strategic Roadmap" and will be monitored related issues.

The scientific institution will take part in the preparation and examination of normative legal documents and programs in the field of economy, as well as monitoring of activities related to the implementation of the Strategic Roadmap.

In addition, will be held, the republican conference on "Strategic Roadmaps: Priorities and Prospects for Development" November 2017, the publication of articles related to the tasks set in the media, as well as the strengthening of cooperation with influential think tanks of the world, state structures, Higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, conducting joint research, training highly qualified personnel, etc.

Deputy Director of the institute for scientific work, Ph.D in Economy Allahyar Muradov, said that, the first steps have already been taken in this direction, and the priorities of the "Strategic Roadmap" are taken into account in determining the topics for scientific research and dissertations of doctoral candidates and dissertators for 2017.

He noted the study of progressive experience on the priorities of the "Strategic Road Map" and the further evaluation of the applied capabilities of this practice in Azerbaijan.
