Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On the basis of the joint project of the Huseyn Javid House Museum of ANAS and the Center of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture in Bulgaria, the play "Maral" is translated into Bulgarian by the prominent representative of the romantic literary movement, the great poet and playwright Huseyn Javid.

The compiler of the publication and the author of the preface are the museum director Doctor of philological sciences Gulbeniz Babakhanli, and the translator is the head of the center Sofia Shigayeva.

Let us note that the work "Maral", which is topical, is the first tragedy in Azerbaijani literature devoted to women's lack of rights.
