Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The participants of the 4th International Scientific Conference on the "Genocide of the Turkic-Muslim Peoples in the XX Century" visited the monument to Alibek Huseynzadeh in Salyan, organized by the Presidium of ANAS, ANAS Institute of History and Research Center of Atatürk of the Republic of Turkey and the Executive Power of of Lankaran. They honored the memory of the great thinker of the Turkic world, laid flowers at the monument.

The deputy of the Milli Majlis, Director of ANAS Institute of History Yagub Mahmudov called A.Huseynzadeh an indispensable person in the history of the national struggle of Azerbaijan. He noted that, the ideas of A.Huseynzadeh called for the unity of the Turkic peoples, he was one of the strongest ideologists for future generations, a true patriot and he fought for the freedom and independence of the homeland. A.Huseynzadeh was a fiery tribune; he made a huge contribution to the cause of awakening of self-consciousness, liberation movement in the Caucasus, as a whole among Russian Muslims and Turkic peoples of the whole world.

The participants of the event also visited the monument to the prominent Azerbaijani poet Khalil Rze Uluturk in Salyan.

Milli Majlis deputy Ali aga Huseynov also took part in the commemoration ceremonies.
