Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In Tashkent, Uzbekistan takes place the international conference on "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan - the road leading to a dialogue between nations and peoples".

At the conference, which was attended by more than 350 scientists from 36 countries, Azerbaijan is represented by Deputy Director for scientific work of ANAS Institute of Oriental Studies after Academician Z.Bunyadov, Academician Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Director for scientific work of the National Art Museum Khadija Asadova.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, chairman of the organizing committee of the event Akmal Saidov spoke about the work done to preserve national and spiritual values in Uzbekistan.

Then, H.Asadova delivered a report on "The world of traditional Uzbek culture in the collection of the National Art Museum". The scientist in her report reported that the museum stores fabrics, embroideries, metal products, samples of fine art made by Uzbeks, as well as one of 50 copies of the Koran.

It should be noted that the conference will continue its work in Samarkand on May 16.
