Opening ceremony of the III International symposium of the cultural heritage of the Turkic world Hamza Nigari was held in Shamakhi city with the organizational support of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, the University of Amasya of Turkey, the Public Association for the Promotion of the Study of the Cultural Heritage of Miras and the Circle of Culture-Art and Solidarity of the Azerbaijani Turkic of Amasia on May 17.

Speaking at the ceremony, ANAS Vice-President, Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that, the main purpose of the symposium is to popularize the Sufi by Azerbaijan poet Hamza Nigyari at the international level, as well as to evaluate his research on the Turkic and Islamic world.

Informed about the life and work of the scientist, I.Habibbeyli noted that, Hamza Nigari was an Azerbaijani poet of the XIX century who created sofas and Sufi poems not only in the size of "aruz", but also "people's verse". Recalling that the poet wrote poetry, guided by the words "Love for the Motherland comes from faith," the academician said that these lines were learned by heart by the Turks living in Karabakh, Gazakh, Borchaly, Amasiye, Eastern Anatolia.

At the conference Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences, Director of ANAS Institute of Manuscripts after Muhammad Fizuli, Academician Teymur Kerimli delivered a report on "Sufi values in the work of Hamza Nigari", Director of the Huseyn Javid’s Memorial Flat, Doctor of Philology Gulbeniz Babakhanli - "The role of the Istanbul Environment in the development of the world of thoughts of the amateur of the Turkic world Huseyn Javid".

At the event, Deputy Director for scientific work of the Institute of Manuscripts, Doctor of Philology sciences Aybeniz Aliyeva-Kangarli delivered a report on "Sufism in Turkic literary and cultural thinking", leading scientist of the Institute, Ph.D in Philology, associate professor Nazaket Mammadli on "Sufi The views of Seide Nigyari ", scientists of this institution Irada Vezirova -" Seyid Yahya Bakuvi-Shirvani in the research of modern researchers", Shahla Khalili -"The Turkic literary environment on the Balkan Peninsula Ove and Aladdin Sabit Bosnevi, Dissertator of the institute Shafa Muradova - "Reflection of Sufism in the Work of Sheikh Ibrahim Gulshani".
