ANAS Electronic assembly hall of the Institute Literature after Nizami held the international scientific conference "Mahtumkuli Faragi - the rider of friendship and brotherhood" dedicated to the outstanding Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Faraghi.
Scientists and specialists of the Literature Institute, representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan, famous scientists of the country and media representatives took part in the event.
ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, opening the conference spoke about the high level of modern development of the Azerbaijani-Turkmen literary ties. Noting that, the copy of the poet's Diwan, discovered by the Institute of Literature in Azerbaijan is a contribution to our literary relations, Academician Isa Habibbeyli brought to the attention that the creativity of the outstanding Turkmen poet Mahtumkuli Faragi, the cherished memory of him is always respected by our people, and in connection A series of events and conferences is held with this.

Then, were listened the reports of Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences of ANAS, Academician Teymur Kerimli on "Mahtumkuli Faragi - the great poet of Turkic countries", Ph.D in philology Ismihan Osmanli - "Poems of Makhtumkuli Faragi".
The reports talked about the life and work of Faruta Mahtumkuli and it was brought to the attention that for the first time in our country, the poems of the poet were prepared for publication, both in Azerbaijani and Turkmen languages.
At the international event, Doctor of Philology Pasha Kerimov delivered report on "Mahtumkuli Faragi - an outstanding representative of the literature of the Oghuz Turks" and the thesis of the Literature Institute of Tohfa Talibov - "On the stay of Mahtumkuli Faragi in the ancient Azerbaijani city of Nukha (Sheki)".
