Monographs “Turkic-Islamic culture monuments of Nakhchivan” and “Mahammad agha Shahtakhtli: the distinguished linguist and publisher” were presented at the Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS.

At the event, the chairman of the department, academician Ismail Hajiyev in his speech noted that since 2006 systematic monuments of history and culture in Nakhchivan have been systematically studied, books, monographs and articles devoted to monuments have been published. He noted that these works are being conducted on the basis of the order of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic "On the organization of work on the protection and certification of historical and cultural monuments in the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" dated December 6, 2005. It was noted that the monograph "Monuments of the Turkic-Islamic culture in Nakhchivan" corresponding member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli investigated the unknown side to the public of historical and architectural designs built during the period of the spread of Islam.

I. Hajiyev also spoke about the scientific value of the work of the director of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature, corresponding member of ANAS Abulfaz Guliyev and Ph.D. in Philology Samira Hasanova "Muhammad agha Shahtakhtli: a distinguished linguist and publisher". The academician recalled that a number of works are under way to study the life and political activities of the Shakhtakhlinsky, who have merit in the history of Nakhchivan. It was said that books, monographs and articles written on the basis of materials about the representatives of the Shahtakhly family, who had great merits in the history of the press, science, education and state building of Azerbaijan were presented to the general public.

At the event, reports were given by head Department of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, corresponding member of ANAS Veli Bakhshaliyev on "Valuable work dedicated to the monuments of the Turkic-Islamic culture of Nakhchivan" and the head of the Onomastics Department of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature, Ph.D. in Philology, Assistant professor Firudin Rzayev on the topic "A native of Nakhchivan is a prominent linguist Muhammad aga Shahtahtli."

Then head of the Department of Archaeological Service of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, Ph.D. in History, Assistant Professor Zeynab Guliyeva and senior researcher of the Department of Linguistics of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature Nuray Aliyeva told about the book's advantages.

It was noted that in the monograph "Monuments of the Turkic-Islamic culture of Nakhchivan" also gives information about the surviving mosques, madrasahs, mausoleums, imamzade, bridges, caravan-sheds, towers, baths, including the construction and restoration of the history - Architectural monuments.

Touching the publication "Muhammed agha Shahtahtli: an outstanding linguist and publisher", the speakers noted that this included a number of important issues of the alphabet, terminology, translation and purity of the native language.
