“Nakhchivan dialects and accents dictionary” book co-authored by the Director of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature of Nakhchivan Branch, corresponding member of ANAS Abulfaz Guliyev and Ph.D. in Philology Nuray Aliyeva, was published.

The book has been published within the framework of “State Program on proper use of Azerbaijani language in accordance with time requirements under globalization and development of linguistics in the country” approved by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s order dated April 9, 2013.

The book, publishing in the “Ajami” publisher compiles more than three thousands of words, which are used in separate region and villages of Nakhchivan. Their meanings and usage points have been clarified in the book. Collected words reflect history, past, life and welfare of our nation.

In addition, dialect units of this territory have been compared with lexical units of other regions in Azerbaijan and in Turkic world from lexical-semantic viewpoint.
