Specialized Scientific Council for the Protection of Master's Dissertational Works of ANAS Institute of Archeology and Ethnography held a regular meeting.

Director of the institute, chairman of the Defense Council, Doctor of History sciences Maisa Ragimova, members of the academic council and head of the department of the magistracy of the Science and Education Department of the Presidium of ANAS, PhD in technology Huseyn Huseynov took part in the meeting.

The master's dissertations of Institute employees - Ilaha Nahmetova on "Pre-Islamic funeral rites in Azerbaijan" and Nigar Mammadova - "The Hygienic Situation in Azerbaijani Medieval Towns" were presented for defense.

The members of the Specialized Scientific Council announced the compliance of submitted research papers with modern scientific standards and highly appreciated them.

Academician Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Director for scientific work of the Institute of Oriental Studies, who took part in the meeting, noted that, the selected topics of theses are representing relevance.
