Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A seminar on the theme "Creativity of O.Shmerling and I.Rotter in the journal “Molla Nasraddin" was held at the National Museum of Azerbaijan History.

The event was held with the joint organizational support of the museum and the Russian information and cultural center within the framework of the project "Talks about art".

Speaking at the seminar, Ph.D. in History Fuad Agayev said that the study of religious superstitions and prejudices, the national policy of tsarism, economic income and other social problems occupies an important place in the work of the artists of the journal "Molla Nasraddin" - O. Schmerling and I. Rotter. F.Agayev noted that these artists made an invaluable contribution to the development of caricature art in Azerbaijan.

Speaking in conclusion, the chairman of the Public Association "Kazakh Compatriots in Azerbaijan", ataman Sergei Samuliev expressed gratitude to the organizers of the event and spoke about the importance of holding similar seminars in the future.
