Azerbaijani scientists’ article is published in an authoritative international journal

Academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technologies, academician Rasim Alguliyev and head of the department of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Ramiz Alyguliyev’s article called "Modification to the journal impact factor" has been published in the authoritative British magazine " COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management ".

Published twice a year, the magazine presents the latest research in the field of science and information management.

The article analyzes the impact factor proposed by J. Garfield and its modifications proposed by other authors, their shortcomings are indicated. In order to eliminate these shortcomings, the authors of the article proposed several weighty impact factors, taking into account the number of self-citations and quoting sources.

Note that the journal "COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management", indexed in the scientific base of the Web of Science, enjoys great authority among the journals published in the field of sciencemetry.
