Fundamental works were published by PAAH within the project "Publication of brochures on the history of the Irevan Khanate in 4 titles", funded by the Council of State Support of Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The project manager and scientific editor of publications is Director of the Institute of History, Academician Yagub Makhmudov and the technical editor is Ph.D in mathematics Mehri Khanbabayeva.
The author of the brochures "The capital of the Irevan khanate-Irevan", "The Irevan fortresses destroyed by the Armenian vandals", "Maghals of the Irevan khanate" - the scientist-historian Guntekin Najafli, and the author of the work " Population of Irevan Khanate" is the historian Irada Mammadova.
Speaking at the presentation, Academician Yagub Mahmudov noted that, new publications are a serious message directed to Armenians, their patrons and the world community as a whole. Stressing that, the territory on which the modern Armenian Republic is located is a native Azerbaijani land, the scientist informed that, the events reflected in the stories of the epos "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud" took place in the territory of the Irevan khanate: "After the Armenians moved from Tsarist Russia Iran and the Ottoman Empire to the South Caucasus, a period of ethnic cleansing, forced deportations and began genocides against the Azerbaijani people.
Finally, on May 29, 1918 in Northern Azerbaijan - in the territory of the former Irevan Khanate, Armenians created their state. Armenians are not the local population of either the South Caucasus or Asia".
Informing that, the presented brochures were written on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, Y. Makhmudov noted that, work is currently underway to translate publications into Armenian, Persian and Arabic languages.
It was noted that, the brochure "The Capital of the Irevan Khanate - Irevan" is dedicated to the glorious history of one of the ancient cities of Azerbaijan - Irevan. The book reflects important information about the toponym of Irevan, the history of the city, descriptions of travelers and illustrations. The publication notes that, the sultan's vizier during the campaigns of the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century, Ibrahim Rahimizadeh, and named Irevan as "Eye of Azerbaijani possessions".
The brochure "Irevan fortresses destroyed by Armenian vandals" is dedicated to the history of Azerbaijani fortresses that existed in Irevan and mercilessly destroyed by Armenian vandals, as well as the history of the glorious struggle of the Irevan and Sardarabad fortresses against foreign invaders during the Russo-Iranian war in the first quarter of the XIX century.
The brochure "Maghals of the Irevan Khanate" presents the administrative division of the Irevan region, which is an integral part of the ancient history of the statehood of Azerbaijan, including the Chuhursaad beyler bey and the Irevan Khanate. In another brochure entitled "The Population of the Irevan Khanate" information was reflected on ethnic and religious affiliation, employment of the population of the Irevan Khanate, and demographic policy of the khans.
Noting that, in the book "Artsakh", recently published in Iran, the historical Azerbaijani lands are designated as the territory of Armenia, Y. Makhmudov brought to attention that in the coming days the Institute of History will take the necessary measures in connection with this issue.
Speaking at the presentation, Director of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History, Academician Naila Velikhanli, Deputy Director for the research work of the Institute of History, PhD in History Jabi Bahramov, head of the Azerbaijan section of the new period, PhD on history Haji Hasanov and others noted the importance of bringing historical realities about Irevan before the world community, and talked about the constant falsification of historical truth by the Armenians.
