Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan's scientific-research institutions have signed a joint cooperation agreement

Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Ogtay Samadov and head of International Relations Department of this institution, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Ibrahim Gabulov participated in the international scientific forum on theme "Nuclear science and technology" held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 12-15.

XI Conference “Nuclear and Radiation Physics”, “Nuclear-2017” International Conference, VIII Eurasian Conference “Nuclear Science and its Applications” were held within the forum dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

More than 200 scientists from Russia, Japan, Germany, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, France and Mongolia participated in the forum and discussed current scientific results on the application of nuclear technology.

At the end of the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS and Institute of Nuclear Physics, a scientific-research institution of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The document was signed by the Director of the institute, correspondent member of ANAS O.Samadov and Director General of the Institute of Nuclear Physics E.Kenjin.

The main purpose of the agreement is to establish cooperation between institutions in the field of radiation and nuclear physics, radiochemistry, radioecology, radiation material science, radiation and nuclear safety and other scientific and technical areas. Under the agreement, institutions will be involved in grant competitions, offering joint projects to various funds and international organizations.
