Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized publication of three books on Mugam history and music theory.

These are seventeenth -century scholar Amirkhan Kovkabi’s " Letter der music” , Mir Mohsun Nevvab’s “Scientific - music” , unknown author’s " Behjatur - spirit” , " Poems for mugam " , " Letter der – scientific music” , " Letter der music " , " Letter - music” works.

The letters were translated by the employees of the Institute of Manuscripts Rauf Sheykhzamanli and Mustafa Mailoglu .

Editors are Dr of philology Mohsen Naghisoylu and Dr of philosophy Nasib Goyushov and Surayya Agayeva.

Scientific consultants are Dr. of philology Pasha Karimov, professors Janali Akparovand Ramiz Zohrabov.
