Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Institute of Physics held a meeting with Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Roald Sagdeyev.

The conference was attended by the President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh, Vice-President Ibrahim Guliyev and Rector of the ADA University Hafiz Pashayev.

At the meeting Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences, Director of the Institute of Physics, Academician  Nazim Mammadov brought to the attention that, R.Sagdeyev is a world-famous scientist who made an important contribution to physical science, in particular, in space physics.

Then, expressing the gratitude of meeting with Academician on the eve of his jubilee, Academician Akif Alizadeh told about the scientific activity of R.Sagdeyev. Stressing that, the priority areas of the scientific activity of the scientist are plasma physics, nuclear physics and space phenomena, Academician A. Alizadeh noted that, even today the discoveries of R.Sagdeyev are being applied and studied by the younger generation.

Then, Academician R.Sagdeyev delivered a report.
