ANAS Central Scientific Library (CSL) prepared "Wild Division" a short historical documentary.

The documentary tells about the participation of volunteer cavalry divisions, as well as the Tatar (Azerbaijani) regiment in the First World War, formed from Muslim peoples of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus during Tsarist Russia.

The "Wild Division" served such well-known Azerbaijani military as Feyzulla Mirza Govanli-Gachar, Huseyin Khan Nakhichivansky, Nur bay Sofiyev, Jamshid Khan Nakhchivansky. The servicemen of the Tatar regiment of the "Wild Division" played an important role in the formation of the army of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

It should be noted that, despite carrying out historical studies and preparing documentary films about the "Wild Division", the role of Azerbaijanis in this military structure remained in the background. CSL through this documentary tried to bring to the forefront the heroism of Azerbaijanis in this division. The documentary is the first part of the cycle on this topic, planned in the future.
