An event titled "Day of eternal returning of our tricolor flag" was held at Nakhchivan Department of ANAS. The conference is dedicated to the November 17 - National Flag Day of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Chairman of the department, academician Ismayil Hajiyev opened the meeting and talked about the the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev of bringing the tricolor flag of the ADR at the session of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on November 17, 1990.

Many laws have been passed on the protection of our flag, which is a symbol of our independence, and the decrees have been signed. He underlined the importance of these documents for the promotion of our flag.

Later, the head of the Literature Department of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature, PhD on philology Ramiz Gasimov's report on "The Day of eternal return of our tricolor flag" was heard.

Speaking at the event, director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli and director of the Manuscripts Fund, PhD on philology Farman Khalilov noted that the State Flag is a symbol of moral-political and cultural unity, and indivisibility of world Azerbaijanis.
