Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Leading scientific researcher of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, PhD in Philology, Esmira Fuad’s "Bekirname" book presented at Central Scientific Library of ANAS.

The book is dedicated to academician Bekir Nabiyev, a prominent literary scholar, honored worker and twice laureate of State Prize.

Speaking at the event, vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that the valuable work was written in a scientific and publicistic style.

Academician Teymur Karimli, academician-secretary of Department of Humanitarian Sciences, emphasized importance of writing Bekirname.

B.Nabiyev created a scientific school in the field of Azerbaijani literature, T. Kerimli emphasized and spoke about of his rich spiritual qualities, good deeds and high patriotism.

People's poet Sabir Rustamkhanli especially emphasized the role and position of prominent scientist in the development of Azerbaijani science. Bakir Nabiyev was one of prominent representatives of Azerbaijani literature and literary criticism, one of the mighty figures of Azerbaijan's scientific thought.

Director of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, academician Nizami Jafarov, student of Bakir Nabiyev, MP Jale Aliyeva, chief department of the Literature Institute, professor Asif Rustamli, director of Turkish Ataturk High School Huseyin Demirel and other speakers spoke about the multifaceted activity of the scientist and the importance of his literary heritage.

Finally, the daughter of the academician, director of the Central Scientific Library, PhD in medicine, Leyla Imanova, thanked the participants of the event.
