The editor of the book published at the Scene publishing house is Associate Professor Gizilgul Abdullayeva, reviewers - Professor Maharram Mammadli and Eldar Piriyev, Doctor of Philology Sardar Zeynal, Ph.D. in Philology Sevda Sadigova and Afag Mammadova.

In the first volume of the publication is analyzed the history of the Azerbaijani literary language by periods. In determining the stages taking into account extra linguistic factors, special attention is also paid to the intralinguistic facts, the formation and development of styles, the historical evolution of norms.

The second volume of the new edition combines T.Hajiyev's large studies in the field of Turkic studies. The book also includes the author's last monograph "The Common Language of Communication for Turks".
