Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Scientific session dedicated to People's Artist, pro-rector of Azerbaijan State Academy of Architecture and Art, Professor Fuad Salayev’s 70th anniversary was held at the main building of ANAS.

Representatives of scientific and cultural community, prominent intellectuals , artists , representatives of the media participated at the meeting .

Fuad Salayev was born in 1943. He firstly graduated from Azerbaijan State Art School named after A. Azimzade. Then he went to Moscow and here he graduates from Surikov Moscow Art Institute. He got involves many exhibitions of the Soviet Union, and he had a lot of creative projects with the Russian Academy of Arts. He created the monument of Sergei Yesenin. It was his first major work. But the poet's monument in Russia at that time was not raised yet. Professor Fuad Salayev was named an academician of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Sculptor created national leader Heydar Aliyev’s 3 statues. Composer G.Garaev’s and academician Yusif Mammadaliyev’s memory boards are Fuad Salayev’s creative product.

PhD in architecture Farhad Mollazadeh’s “Fuad Salayev’s sculptures in urban environments” and Emin Alekperov’s “Sculptor F.Salayev’s creative way” reports made interest on participants.
