Open-air Archeology museum in Ganja to be established

Open-air Archeology Museum, will be set up on 3300 years old kurgans belonging to the last Bronze Age, discovered in the Heydar Aliyev Park Complex in Ganja.

Academician Fuad Aliyev, chairman of the Ganja Division of ANAS, said that employees of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography have carried out researches in the Complex since 2015. As a result of preliminary investigations 62 kurgans were registered in the city and four of them were involved in scientific research last year.

According to the scientist, human skeletons and many material and cultural samples have been.

Academician said that the excavation works were continuing at the complex and that the museum would be set up at the end of the research.
