Today, the 2nd Special Department of ANAS Presidium held the next seminar.

Chiefs of Civil Defense (GO) of scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS took part in the event.

In the beginning, a minute of silence was honored memory of martyrs on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the January 20 tragedy.

Speaking at the seminar, the head of the department Eldar Guliyev brought to attention that on the night of 19-20 January 1990, Soviet Army troops and Special Forces were brought to Baku and massacred civilians. As a result of this criminal operation, 146 civilians were killed, 744 people were injured and 841 people were illegally arrested. He said that, this bloody event was aimed at suppressing democracy and fighting for the national liberation movement of our people.

Then, E.Guliyev told about the results of training in Civil Defense and mobilization in scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS in 2017.

The head of the department informed that after the generalization and approval the reports will be sent to the Cabinet of Ministers.

Then, he told about the execution of the order # 700 of the President of ANAS "On Organizational Instructions for 2018" dated December 12, 2017. E.Guliyev brought to the attention that the measures for civil defense in scientific institutions and organizations were undertaken in accordance with Resolution No. 193 of September 25, 1998 and other regulatory and legal documents of the Cabinet of Ministers. The head of the department gave corresponding instructions in the direction of strengthening the educational work and improving the quality of education. He said that the exercise on GO is conducted from January 4 to November 30, 2018.

The head of the department also noted that according to the decree, in the current year personal protective equipment in scientific institutions and organizations will be tested in the laboratories of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Then, at the seminar the chief specialist of the department Oktay Farzaliyev informed the participants of the event about the organization instructions and planning works for 2018.
